I think you played a good game all the way through! In my opinion, it's better to be somewhat cautious, especially having multiple idols. You don't wanna be sent home with three idols in your pocket, of course, but you also don't wanna run the risk of outing alliances and putting targets on yourself at a point in the game where you're not guaranteed to be safe the next Tribal Council!
