The Playground - Week 2 - Day 3

It's Wednesday, but it feels like Tuesday since I was off. :)

Then again, tonight is Survivor and Tough as Nails, so I guess it really is Wednesday...

The second prompt is feeling lonely, so go make friends with it!  https://therealljidol.dreamwidth.org/1104538.html

How are you doing today?

The allergy pills seem to be working on the symptoms I started developing yesterday...so maybe I'm not getting sick.

Not looking forward to work this evening.

One of my dogs was sick in their crate the other night, and I've been cleaning ick all morning. Now I need a shower and I'd love a nap...but work.

I am coming up with HUGE BLANKS on this prompt. It's gotta be something fictional, but I haven't done fiction in FOREVER.

"Is it allergies or am I getting sick?" is a question I have asked myself far too many times in my life! Hopefully your dog is feeling better :/

For the past 18 months it's more like, "Is it allergies or could it be Covid?"...and that's a shitty way to live. Thus far, it's always been allergies. I'm due for my booster in a week or two, and I have yet to catch the `Rona ::knocks on wood::

We haven't had any more incidents with the dog, so hopefully, it was just a bad tummy for a night or two and he's done.

Yes, the Covid question is always there!

I saw a post on Quora from someone in the military who'd been vaccinated, but decided to test just in case the mild allergy symptoms she thought she was having were Covid.

And they were. Very short-lived (especially compare to allergies), and if she weren't in the military (where contact-tracking is pretty heavily monitored), she waid it wouldn't have occurred to her at all.

It's more the concern about how it affects those around you, in case you're in contact with someone who can't be vaccinated or is immunicompromized.

I don't envy you cleaning vomit out of the dog carrier! And it's always so hard to get the smell out. :(

I work in a similar situation and if I get tested I get an automatic 2-week unpaid vacay from work. Whether I test positive or not.

Thankfully everyone around me at work and whatnot have been vaccinated, so if I were positive, it would hopefully not jump all over the place.

As for the dog, I'm mostly not looking forward to having to take the bed to the local laundromat to wash. That's more people-ing than I am accustomed to doing.

On the good side, I had some downtime at work tonight and got started on the prompt. Kinda eager to see where this thought goes.
