Feeling kind of "meh" about the prompt, maybe because I already wrote this story for a different prompt back during LJ Exhibit A, and it was one of my best ever?

And in other news, the 92o I was promised today became a 99-degree day, and our cooling wave has instead been pushed out to TUESDAY. I am so sick of Sacramento's summers! And yes, after another 99+ streak, 92 IS a cooling wave. Gah.
