You’re about to get to your first challenge!  But first I just want to catch up and see how you have been doing.   How is the shelter?  You’re sleeping on the same beach, but is it one big shelter or have the tribes set up their own separate camp sites? What’s the fishing situation like?  Has anyone been able to make fire?   I heard someone knocked over the large urn of rice in the middle of the night. How much did you lose? 

alycewilson  - It was your first night out here on the island in your new tribes.  How is this game different now that you know who is in on your team? 

halfshellvenus  - You were selected to be team Captain.  Does that add any extra pressure to this first challenge, knowing that these folx have looked to you for leadership? 

bleodswean - In a game all about social dynamics, what does it mean to be a “leader,” and how are you planning on leading your tribe to victory? 

minikin25  - You barely escaped exile.  Does that weigh on your mind going into this challenge?  Or is today a new day? 

n3m3sis43  -   On the surface, all of you look like one big happy group.  But you are about to go head to head against each other for the first time.  Can you feel that tension in the air, or has that aspect not “become real” yet? 

impoetry  -  What’s been the most difficult part of this for you, so far?

gunwithoutmusic   - Just how important is winning this first challenge anyway?  Is it more important to build momentum or do you think there’s something valuable in the experience of going to tribal council? 

adoptedwriter  - A lot of this game is unknown territory, and people are figuring out as they go along.  Where are you at right now? Figuring it out, or just wandering around hoping not to bump into something? 

bittyjane - You’re another one who was the last member picked for your tribe.  Is that extra pressure to avoid tribal council?

megatronix  -  You've got a big smile on your face.  Is that confidence or are you just enjoying this moment?  A little of both? 

murielle - The counterpoint to that is that you were the first person selected.  Is that extra pressure to live up to the hype of being the “first pick?” 

bsgsix -  You've been really vocal about looking forward to start writing again.  That’s about to happen, today.  How prepared are you to take on this new challenge? 

jenwithapen -  How about you?  Especially knowing that it’s not just your own fate hanging in the balance. It’s your entire tribe. 

swirlsofpurple -  Are you more nervous about the challenge right now, or the game itself as it starts to unfold around you?

wolfden -  You on the other hand spent the night on Exile Island, away from the action.  How was that experience for you?

lawchicky819   - You get the last word.  Anything people should be thinking about as they approach this first challenge?  What role do you think the tribe should play in their decision on what to write?

So I thought it would be good at make sure everyone is on the same page. 

- Yes. This is just like LJ idol.  You take the prompt anyway you want to go.  There are no word counts or specific style rules. 

-  You can work with your tribe on your entry, but ultimately it's your entry.  That said, the combined vote totals of every member will be taken into account in determining who "wins the challenge."  So if tribes want to help each other out, that's fine too. 

- Will there be a Work Room?  No.    You can use spaces like this, or Camp Life posts (the first one is coming tomorrow) for that sort of thing. 

- Will there be Green Rooms?  Green Rooms don't exist on deserted tropical islands.  :)  But see the answer above for what the equivalent space will be.   They won't be every day though, and mostly just during the challenge periods. 




Production camp posts will appear after every Challenge is announced or when there is an important announcement.
