I also finally received my unemployment money. So for those keeping track of such things, I was fired in April and just got my money in December! One more advantage to the privatization of government functions in Florida. They keep making it better and better!!! :)

Right now I have no idea what the future holds for Idol. I have the two ideas, one mini season and one big anniversary celebration. Hopefully people will be interested in at least one of those things. I just wish that we *could* go back to Live journal. Because DW is quite dead. But from what I've heard not only is LJ dead, that if you don't have a paid account it's just one big Russian pop up. And if you DO have a paid account, you're just funneling money to the Kremlin. So - not very good choices there...

Date: 2024-12-17 09:24 am (UTC)I'm one who doesn't fancy putting idol on fb because of the real name thing, although you now can make sock accounts there. It's not the same, though. I have a few friends who use fb like their old lj and it's quite jarring to see exactly how long their entries are. They occasionally complain they seldom get replies. The major reason is because most people who use fb don't want to read long form stuff so they'll scroll by. I can see that easily happening if idol moved there.
