It's been one of those days, and from what I've just seen when I was looking over the results, it looks like it's one of those nights as well.

As has been the case in the last couple of weeks the votes trickled in, until they started flooding in at the end.

It's not just true of the poll that everyone sees, it is also true of the Jury vote.

When I say this was a difficult decision for people, there are a couple ways of showing evidence of that. One is mentioning the multiple Jurors who mentioned "this is a really difficult decision" in their emails to me.

Another is to point out that of the 16 contestants, 14 of them are eligible to receive immunity (no one can receive it twice) and 11 of them received votes this time! The other three? Weren't in the danger.

That Jury vote came down to a *single vote*. One vote, the last one to be received, determined who would be getting immunity this week. And that's important, because it just threw a wrench into the poll, as usual.

The poll itself, also came down to a single vote. Which is why it's a four way tie and not a five way.

We were set to lose two, but instead we will be losing one, and sending four others into a Sudden Death Write Off for their lives in this competition. (with two others escaping that fate by, again, a single vote)

Before I get to that, the person we are losing tonight is the great [personal profile] static_abyss . One vote was the difference between staying and going into a Write Off. Given the level of competition in this mini season, I hope that is seen as the positive that it should be - that they were awesome enough to make it this far in the competition and came within a hair of making an even longer run.

I'm definitely going to miss your writing - and hope that you decide to Home Game! But at least we will continue to feel your presence as part of the Jury helping to decide how this mini season is going to play out. (and I hope to keep seeing you in the Green Room as well!)

Which brings us to the question of "Who received immunity?". If you are looking at the poll, you know that answer - but if you aren't, this week the Jury selected [personal profile] yachiru .

Congratulations on getting to fight another week!

The Four who are going on to compete in a Sudden Death Write Off are:

It's that time. Not just time for another topic.

But time for five more topics.

And yes, you are writing five entries. One for each topic. (Because I know someone is going to ask)

Those topics are:

Salad Days
Vigilance
Fatberg
My Happy Place

and, because it's the appropriate to this situation, the Lawrence Kasdan quote:
"Being a writer is like having homework every night for the rest of your life"

The deadline to link all of your  entries below is Tuesday March 12th at 9pm EDT.

Have fun!
