There are some new faces here, so first of all, welcome!
For those joining us for the first time, or those who may have forgotten I'll explain how all of this works.
Every "week" (in quotes because it's not always a calendar week. Game "weeks" are sometimes more and sometimes less) I will post a prompt. Usually with some sort of vague explanation and a deadline.
That prompt is your springboard. You can take it and do whatever you want with it. Use it as your inspiration.
You then write your entry and post it in your space (DW, LJ, blog, wherever), posting a link to that entry in the Prompt post for that week. (Which is why I had people practice this action in the Sign Up Sheet)
I previously announced that this mini season has two "byes", for those not familiar with the sports term, when a team has a "bye week" that means they don't play. Life happens. Maybe you just can't get anything creative done that week due to (insert annoying thing happening here) or maybe you just don't feel like it... either way, you get 2 of these between now and the Top 20. Use them wisely. Just post the word "bye week" instead of your entry. You *can* change your mind before the deadline, but please send me a personal message. Otherwise I might not see it.
My usual suggestion is that once people start posting entries, you should start reading them. That way you don't have to try to fit everything in and get overwhelmed. My usual banter is "Read, Comment and Vote for your favorites!"
I gather those links and place them in a poll. I post that poll with a deadline for how long everyone has to read and vote. The word "Vote" or "Voting" should be in the subject line as well as the tag for those who like to set alerts.
You can vote for as many entries (or few) as you like. Whoever has the lowest amounts of votes that week is eliminated from the competition.
and we move forward onward into the next week...
If you need anything, my email is [email protected] or you can message me here. it's really nice to see everyone, and I hope people have fun. That's what this is supposed to be all about! Having some fun while being creative.
